Support-Free Printing

Tips for getting clean results from models designed to print without supports.

  1. Confirm the model was designed support-free before slicing — check the listing notes or 3MF settings.
  2. Use a wider brim (5–8 mm) to improve bed adhesion on support-free prints with small bases.
  3. Lower print speed for the first few layers to ensure a solid foundation.
  4. Keep cooling fan at 100 % after the first layer to handle short overhangs cleanly.
  5. If minor stringing appears on small bridges, a quick pass with a heat gun or hobby knife cleans it up.
